Westside Gunn - Animated Album Covers

I animated the album covers for Westside Gunn’s "Pray for Paris" and "And Then You Pray for Me", bringing movement to each character while preserving the original artwork’s aesthetic. Using Photoshop, I separated the elements and prepared them for animation in After Effects, adding motion that enhances the storytelling and atmosphere of the covers. For Pray for Paris, I introduced subtle character movements, layered depth, and smooth transitions to create a cinematic feel. And Then You Pray for Me follows a similar approach, with animated elements that make the artwork feel alive. These animations give a new perspective to Gunn’s visual identity, blending fine art with motion.
