Spotify Motion Graphic
This is a 31 second motion graphic created at full HD resolution (1920×1080) and 30 fps, designed as a conceptual ad for Spotify. My goal was to capture the platform’s dynamic energy and sleek identity through smooth transitions and rhythm driven animation.

Process & Approach
I began by mapping out the flow of the piece to align with Spotify’s brand voice: clean, modern, and music centric. The pacing was structured around how users engage with music.
Design Foundation: I worked with Spotify’s core brand colors and typography to maintain consistency while introducing my own layout decisions to enhance motion flow.
Motion Principles: I leaned heavily on easing curves, overshoot, and opacity shifts to bring a natural rhythm to each transition. The animation timing mirrors the beats of a track, so the viewer “feels” the motion as if it were part of a song.
Tools & Techniques: Built in After Effects, I used pre comps to manage repeating elements, shape layer animations for icons, and kinetic type for callouts. Careful attention was given to anchor points and path animation so elements moved seamlessly on and off screen.
Final Touches: I fine tuned the speed ramps and visual hierarchy to keep the viewer’s attention where it mattered on the message. The result is a piece that feels both promotional and immersive, suitable for digital ad placements or social media campaigns.
Reflection
This project helped me refine my ability to balance brand guidelines with creative freedom. It challenged me to make motion design not just decorative, but essential to how the story is told.
