ATARI PACMAN TOURNAMENT
For this project, I developed a visual identity system for a fictional Atari Pac-Man Tournament, exploring how a legacy arcade brand could expand into a contemporary competitive gaming event format. The goal was to translate retro arcade culture into a modern tournament experience through a cohesive branding system that works across environments, merchandise, and live-event touchpoints. Concept I designed the Atari Pac-Man Tourney 2026 as a hybrid between classic arcade nostalgia, esports tournament branding, traditional sports event identity systems. The campaign combines bold typography, geometric framing elements inspired by the Atari logo, and high-contrast tournament graphics to create a visual language that feels both heritage-driven and contemporary. Event Identity System At the center of the project is a custom tournament crest inspired by Atari’s iconic logo geometry, arcade cabinet silhouettes, competitive sports league badges. This mark functions as the anchor for the full identity system and scales across, uniforms tickets, environmental displays, and promotional materials. The goal was to create a recognizable tournament emblem that could live beyond a single event and feel expandable into a recurring series. Environmental Display Design
I designed a large-scale stage display system for the tournament environment using a warm gradient backdrop inspired by Pac-Man’s arcade color palette. The display layout emphasizes, bold event titling, strong typographic hierarchy, long-distance readability, and broadcast-ready composition. This allows the identity to function effectively in both live audience environments and streamed esports contexts.
Team Jersey System
To extend the tournament identity into competitive gameplay, I created home and away jersey concepts that merge esports styling with traditional football kit structure. These uniforms feature, vertical striping derived from Atari brand geometry, a centralized crest placement for team identity recognition, and high-contrast numbering optimized for spectatorship
balanced sponsor integration through Atari branding. The jerseys help position the tournament as a structured competitive event rather than a casual arcade competition.
Ticketing Design
I developed a set of admission tickets inspired by Pac-Man maze layouts, using subtle pattern overlays to reference gameplay without overwhelming the layout. These tickets reinforce the event’s identity through layered environmental texture, arcade-inspired color contrast, clear typographic hierarchy, and collectible visual appeal. The goal was to create artifacts that function both as entry credentials and memorabilia.
Visual Strategy
Across the campaign, I focused on building a system that balances retro gaming heritage, sports tournament credibility, modern esports presentation, and scalable brand consistency. Each element was designed to feel like part of a unified live-event ecosystem rather than isolated graphics.
